I collaborated with art collective Art Island on New World, an outdoor experiential art event in Austin, Texas.
We worked carefully and creatively on intentional flow and Covid safety precautions at the open-air, limited attendee event which took place in October 2020. I created social media designs and animations, art installations and supported with event promotion. I came up with the name Color Ascension for one of our installations, intentionally designed for a solo experience. Attendees could sit, stand or dance upon the hexagon-shaped haptic floor panel, which generated vibrations from music as lights shifted in color. Strands of leaves ascended to the top of the piece, an illuminated heptagon full of fluffy clouds.
I collaborated with incredible artist, Marcelo Villaseñor and animated his illustrations along with event lineup information.
I worked hand lettered "SOLD OUT" messaging large and bold for a static social post.
I created these kinetic typography pieces to message attendees prior to the event. These were created with Kiel Danger's incredible Space Type Generator. I drew and animated the hand-lettered piece below.
